Job description

Role Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Human Data Platforms for a full-time remote position. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data platforms tailored to process and analyze large volumes of human-generated data. The focus is on building high-performance, reliable, and secure data infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and enhance scalable data pipelines to effectively manage large-scale human-derived datasets.
  • Build and sustain backend services supporting both real-time and batch processing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure accuracy and seamless data accessibility.
  • Implement reliable monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to uphold platform stability.
  • Participate in technology and architecture decisions that improve system scalability and responsiveness.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong programming capabilities in Python, Java, or Go focused on backend development.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed systems technologies such as Kafka, Spark, or equivalents.
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases for efficient data management.
  • Understanding of data governance principles along with security and compliance standards.
  • Expertise in performance tuning and scalable design of data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in complex debugging scenarios.
