About the Role
Join our Global Trading Applications team as a Kdb+/Q Engineer, where you will architect and implement data and analytics platforms that empower trading and quantitative research on a global scale. You will collaborate closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and fellow engineers to craft high-performance solutions dealing with both real-time and historical market data at a significant scale. This role involves working within an extensive Kdb+/Q environment that supports critical workflows in trading, research, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop highly efficient Kdb+/Q platforms supporting real-time research, streaming analytics, and trading activities across multiple global markets
- Engage directly with traders, quantitative researchers, and engineering colleagues to deliver technology solutions aligned with business goals
- Create scalable systems that manage large volumes of market data, enable time-series analysis, and address challenges in distributed computing
- Contribute to the design and ongoing advancement of the Global Trading Applications platform that underpins trading, data processing, and analytics workflows across the company
- Promote engineering excellence through well-thought-out design principles, automation, and adherence to operational best practices
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with developing production-grade applications using Kdb+/Q in large-scale environments
- Background in building platforms for market data, analytics, electronic trading, or quantitative research purposes
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages including Python, Java, or C++
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and distributed system architectures
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical teams and front-office personnel
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
