Job description
Overview
Tribe Group is seeking multiple Lead Java Developers to join their team in Porirua, Wellington, to contribute to nationally significant technology platforms. These are permanent, hands-on leadership roles aimed at shaping enterprise-level applications with a focus on strong technical guidance and team mentorship.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership within Agile product teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Test Engineers, and fellow developers to build secure and scalable software solutions.
- Remain actively engaged in coding while mentoring team members and fostering a high-performing engineering culture.
- Maintain and elevate engineering standards while encouraging continuous team improvement.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience with Java 17 and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Proficiency with React.
- Extensive background in developing enterprise-grade applications.
- Strong capabilities in software architecture and solution design.
- Experience in leading and managing software engineering teams.
- Passion for coaching and mentoring software developers.
- Excellent communication skills and adeptness in stakeholder interaction.
- Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Angular framework.
- Familiarity with Microservices architecture.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Background in cloud platform technologies.
