Java Full Stack Developer with Angular for Group Client at Morgan Stanley

About the Role

This role requires an experienced Java Full Stack Developer to work on applications with Angular for a significant group client, Morgan Stanley. Candidates must have between 7 to 10 years of relevant IT experience in full-stack Java development along with the associated technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop back-end services using Java Spring Boot and build APIs suitable for cloud environments.
• Implement and monitor applications using OpenSearch and deploy solutions leveraging AWS infrastructure.
• Integrate and work with messaging systems including Kafka to facilitate communication between services.
• Perform security vulnerability remediation and conduct periodic health assessments of applications.
• Utilize application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace for performance analysis and chaos testing.
• Collaborate on site reliability engineering (SRE) practices to help maintain robust and scalable systems.
• Create responsive, interactive web applications with clean, modular Angular components (version 14 and above).
• Develop and maintain frontend using HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, and modern JavaScript (ECMAScript), including use of data structures and prototype inheritance.
• Write unit tests following best practices using Jasmine framework to ensure code quality.
• Manage source code versions effectively using Git-based tools.

Required Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience (7-10 years) in Java full-stack development with strong backend skills in Spring Boot.
• Hands-on development expertise in Angular 14+ for UI/UX interface design and implementation.
• Proficient with cloud deployment processes specifically using AWS platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Experience working with Kafka messaging systems.
• Knowledge of application performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace or equivalent.
• Understanding of security vulnerability management and remediation techniques.
• Strong analytical skills complemented by meticulous attention to detail.
• Good collaboration and communication capabilities within cross-functional teams.
