Engineering Logistics Portal Operator

Job Summary

The Engineering Logistics Portal (ELP) Operator will oversee the management of all repairable Typhoon assets that have failed forward inspections and require coordination through the ELP system. Key duties include supervising assets through Quality Gate, Engineering Tasking, and Repair Scheduling, collaborating directly with Part M engineers, Repairs Inventory Planners, and Repair Schedulers.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough documentation and maintenance of all ML2/ML4 activities in the IMS system.
• Support daily operations by facilitating and managing necessary reviews.
• Manage demand for ML2/ML4 tasks, meeting delivery goals and monitoring performance against contractual KPIs.
• Identify and resolve or escalate any shortcomings promptly.
• Compile and provide reports to spot issues and manage them appropriately.
• Maintain compliance with department procedures to guarantee safe working practices.
• Establish and nurture effective relationships with all stakeholders.
• Liaise with inventory planning, procurement, engineering, finance, and maintenance teams to address supply-demand challenges, including external service providers and partners.
• Analyze usage and transaction data to identify recurrent issues and recommend corrective measures.
• Facilitate expedited processing of urgent items.
• Support team members in achieving business and contractual output requirements.
• Contribute to developing supply chain operations infrastructure to meet contractual demands.
• Mentor QEAF staff newly joining from the Qatar Technical Institute in repair processes.
• Ensure all ML2/ML4 assets are routed through the portal for quality and repair scheduling checks, complying with DF&P standards.
• Coordinate regular Repair Reviews to guarantee timely delivery of items to internal customers.
• Utilize performance data to highlight achievements and potential concerns to senior management.
• Deliver high-quality, timely service to both internal and external customers, notably the QEAF Typhoon Fleet.
• Support continuous supply chain procedure improvements and maintain a safe working environment.

Key Accountabilities

• Meet business objectives for asset management by achieving targets and monitoring trends to minimize impact on airworthiness and contractual KPIs.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all asset management transactions in the IMS.
• Ensure compliance with QEAF CAME/145 MOE regulations and associated procedures.
• Apply human factors, error management, and risk and safety principles within Part M and Part 145 maintenance contexts.
• Adhere to demand management procedures consistent with the Part M framework and support audits with timely responses.
• Stay updated and compliant with Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory Framework and related legislative requirements (e.g., ITAR/WOME).
• Incorporate contractual requirements into personal and team operations, adapting as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• Familiarity with operational supply chains within a Continuous Airworthiness Organisation, including protocols and processes.
• Strong relationships with maintenance operations and interdependent functions such as procurement, engineering, partners, suppliers, and customers.
• Understanding of ML2/ML4 task constraints, lead times, and prioritization importance, with proactive planning skills.
• Basic functional knowledge expected to grow throughout the role, emphasizing continuous improvement and capability development.
• Analytical, planning, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills with aptitude in IT systems.
• Competence in combined Supply Chain and Maintenance operations, ability to define and improve processes.
• Valid driving license required.
• Institute of Supply Chain Management Level 3 certification or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory.
