Role Overview
At Qatar Technical Institute (QTI), instructors are integral to the training framework, providing top-tier vocational, technical, and defence education aligned with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) guidelines. This position focuses on teaching Mathematics and Physics within the General Studies department, which comprises the first year of a two-year diploma programme.
Primary Duties
- Deliver math and physics lessons following the QTI's established policies and curriculum standards.
- Plan and execute interactive lessons tailored to the MoEHE syllabus to cultivate an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Support military students academically while encouraging critical thinking and deeper understanding of the subjects.
- Collaborate with colleagues and military representatives to promote student success and fulfill departmental goals.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement processes including feedback sessions and curriculum development.
- Maintain comprehensive academic records and adhere to all administrative and performance expectations.
- Advance professional development and demonstrate adaptability to evolving educational needs and priorities.

Specific Responsibilities
- Teach Math and Physics modules, designing engaging lessons by addressing diverse learner needs.
- Manage classrooms effectively to maintain a positive educational atmosphere.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students throughout their studies.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum review and participate in lesson observations and quality assurance activities.
- Maintain accurate administrative records and use approved technological tools efficiently.

- Establish respectful and professional relations within the military training setting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess qualified teacher status or equivalent education/training credential such as PGCE, B.Ed., M.Ed., MA, BA, Diploma or equivalent in Math, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable practical teaching experience in Math and Physics, preferably with international or diverse student bodies.
- Proficient with a variety of teaching and administrative technologies.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills with a commitment to cultural sensitivity and ongoing improvement.
- Military teaching experience, Middle Eastern teaching exposure, and Arabic language skills are considered advantageous.
- Capability to support other subjects or programmes if requested, based on qualifications and experience.
