Overview
The Payroll Coordinator will serve as the primary contact for roughly 2,000 Canadian employees, managing the end-to-end payroll process within a complex multi-jurisdictional environment. This permanent role supports Deloitte's purpose to foster a thriving society by delivering accurate payroll services and contributing to a culture of well-being and professional growth. Work will be conducted in a hybrid model across multiple Canadian locations including Fredericton, NB, and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive payroll processing accurately and punctually.
- Handle payroll case management activities and resolve payroll-related issues with stakeholders such as Talent Acquisition, Legal, and Benefits Providers.
- Calculate gross to net pay and ensure payroll balances correctly.
- Prepare and submit all necessary payroll deductions and remittances.
- Manage year-end payroll activities effectively.
About the Team
The successful candidate will join an eight-member administrative team responsible for Deloitte's National Payroll, providing data entry, reporting, and payroll support services to the organization.
Candidate Profile
- At least 3 years of experience in large, multi-jurisdictional payroll environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Possesses or is working towards Canadian Payroll Association Certification.
- Strong organizational skills and adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Bilingualism in English and French is advantageous due to client interactions at national and global levels.
- Experience with PeopleSoft payroll software is considered a valuable asset.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range spans from $47,000 to $78,000 CAD, with eligibility for a bonus program. Deloitte offers a competitive pay structure benchmarked across industries.
