About the Role

As a Payroll Coordinator at Deloitte, you will act as the primary contact for nearly 2,000 Canadian employees, overseeing comprehensive payroll processes across multiple jurisdictions. This role is responsible for ensuring payroll is accurately and timely processed while managing various payroll-related activities in a large professional services firm dedicated to making a significant impact in society.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll execution for the organization accurately and within set timelines.
  • Handle all payroll case management processes, ensuring issues are resolved promptly.
  • Perform gross-to-net payroll calculations and ensure payroll balances are correct.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies through coordination with stakeholders such as Talent teams, Legal departments, and Benefits providers.
  • Prepare and submit all required payroll deductions and remittances in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Conduct year-end payroll processing activities as mandated.

About the Team

You will be part of an eight-member administration team tasked with processing and administering Deloitte’s national payroll, delivering accurate payroll services and support across various business lines.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum three years of experience in managing payroll in a large, multi-jurisdictional Canadian environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Possession or pursuit of Canadian Payroll Association certification.
  • Superior organizational abilities with aptitude for multitasking.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is advantageous due to interaction with national and global clients.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft software is considered a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range offered is between $47,000 and $78,000 annually, with eligibility for a bonus program. Deloitte’s remuneration policies are competitive and equitable, recognizing individual contributions and strengths.
