About the Role
Join Deloitte as a Payroll Coordinator, stationed primarily in Edmonton, Alberta, as part of a dedicated eight-person team supporting national payroll operations. This permanent role involves managing the payroll process for around 2,000 Canadian employees across multiple provinces, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all payroll functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full payroll cycle for the organization, guaranteeing precise and prompt salary disbursements.
- Handle payroll case management efficiently, addressing all related queries and tasks.
- Perform detailed gross-to-net salary computations and balance payroll accounts.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, collaborating with various stakeholders including Talent, Legal, and Benefits teams.
- Prepare and submit statutory payroll deductions and remittances as mandated by regulations.
- Conduct year-end payroll procedures accurately and timely.
About the Team
The Payroll Coordinator will work within a collaborative administrative team responsible for ensuring seamless delivery of payroll services and client support, including data entry and reporting for all employees and business units within Deloitte Canada.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a minimum of three years' experience in a large-scale, multi-jurisdictional payroll environment.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Hold or be actively pursuing certification from the Canadian Payroll Association.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual fluency in French and English is advantageous due to frequent interactions with national and global clients.
- Experience using PeopleSoft payroll software is a strong asset.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive annual salary range from $47,000 to $78,000, along with eligibility for a performance bonus program.
