Role Overview
The Operational Lessons Learned Manager plays a pivotal role in closing the feedback loop, ensuring that organizational knowledge and project experiences are converted into measurable enhancements in business performance. This role will pioneer and steer the Operational Lessons Learned Framework for the company, structuring the capture, analysis, sharing, and integration of lessons learned across projects and departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, group-wide Operational Lessons Learned Framework in partnership with the Group Knowledge Manager.
- Set standards, processes, and governance for lesson capture activities ensuring consistent documentation, categorization, and communication.
- Facilitate Post Completion Reviews and promote methods for capturing lessons during project execution.
- Establish and lead a Lessons Learned Council to review findings, prioritize improvement opportunities, and drive governance of action tracking.
- Manage a central repository of lessons and good practices while analyzing trends and recurring issues.
- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with project teams and functional departments to embed learning into future deliveries effectively.
- Monitor and report on the impact and effectiveness of learning initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Exceptional stakeholder management and workshop facilitation capabilities.
- Strong communication and influence skills suited for diverse stakeholders.
- Proven organizational skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Ability to analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to detect patterns and improvement opportunities.
- Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or project-centric environments.
- Skilled at producing reports and presenting outcomes to senior leadership.

- Familiarity with lessons learned methodologies and organizational learning frameworks.
- Experience carrying out project evaluations or post-project reviews.
- Understanding of construction project delivery processes.
- Competence with data visualization and reporting tools.
