Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead and coordinate design teams within a modular and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) setting, ensuring design objectives are met effectively and to high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and participate in departmental meetings to track and drive project progress.
• Ensure design output meets quality standards and adheres to all project directives.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet design targets.
• Fulfil client expectations through effective design management.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and conduct thorough reviews of completed work.
• Introduce new ideas and design concepts, making them comprehensible to the team and clients.
• Develop and regularly monitor budgets to ensure financial feasibility.
• Mentor and motivate team members to achieve individual and collective goals.
• Lead training sessions on design developments and business procedures.
• Support and encourage internal and external design teams.
• Drive timely, quality production of structural drawings and designs.
• Assist in devising design delivery schedules in cooperation with clients, project managers, and consultants.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years experience in Tier 1 contracting, Tier 2 contracting, modular contracting, or design consultancy sectors.
• Proficient use of Revit and AutoCAD design software.
• Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Holds NFQ Level 7 architectural technology qualification or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Creativity combined with strong attention to detail.
• Effective organizational skills.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and multitask across projects.
