Innovation Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Innovation Engineer to spearhead initiatives in government innovation, institutional transformation, and digital modernization within Qatar or the broader GCC region. This leadership position entails driving improvements in government services, reshaping operating models, and facilitating organizational transformations to enhance citizen and user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects relating to government innovation and institutional reform.
• Drive digital transformation efforts across government bodies.
• Develop and redesign operating models for effective service delivery.
• Conduct business process re-engineering to enhance operational efficiency.
• Perform comprehensive transformation studies and gap analyses.
• Improve citizen and user engagement through service design and innovation workshops.
• Establish and monitor performance indicators, spearheading organizational performance management.
• Manage relationships with diverse stakeholders and government entities.
• Produce executive-level reports and presentations to facilitate decision-making processes.
• Advocate and manage change initiatives fostering innovation culture within institutions.
• Transfer knowledge and embed best practices, including benchmarking globally recognized standards.

Candidate Profile and Skills

• Experienced professional with 12 to 15+ years in innovation within government or institutional settings.
• Strong strategic planning capabilities coupled with deep expertise in transformation management.
• Proficiency in digital transformation, business process re-engineering, and operating model development.
• Skilled in innovation methodologies such as design thinking and service design.
• Experience facilitating innovation workshops and managing stakeholder engagement.
• Competence in performance management frameworks and KPI development.
• Known for effective executive communication and change management proficiency.
• Advocates continuous knowledge sharing and fostering a culture of innovation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Innovation Management, Design Thinking, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or Agile methodologies.
• Advanced degrees such as an MBA or Master’s specialized in Innovation or Strategic Management.
• Credentials in Digital Transformation and Change Management.
