Job description
Job Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Transformation and Development Project Manager to lead and oversee efforts in institutional enhancement, innovation, digital and government transformation projects. The role demands managing strategic operational projects, supervising implementation plans and performance metrics, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, handling operational risks, and generating executive-level reports and presentations for senior leadership. Prior experience within governmental or semi-governmental organizations, especially in Qatar or the broader GCC region, is advantageous.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct and monitor institutional development, innovation, and government transformation projects from planning stages through to completion.
- Establish comprehensive implementation plans, including milestones, timelines, and key deliverables.
- Track project progress ensuring alignment with strategic goals and handle deviations from performance indicators.
- Assist with strategic transformation initiatives to enhance organizational operating frameworks and business procedures.
- Identify and recommend operational improvements and service delivery enhancements through analysis and studies.
- Engage actively in digital transformation projects, improving government services and enhancing user experience by liaising with technological teams.
- Coordinate efforts among internal departments and external partners, including senior management, IT, data teams, consultants, and other government and private entities, ensuring smooth project execution and conflict resolution.
- Assess operational risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor issues requiring escalation with corrective actions.
- Develop and oversee KPIs, milestone tracking, and performance metrics with timely progress reporting to management.
- Prepare detailed executive reports, dashboards, and presentations consolidating project status, risks, and achievements for senior stakeholders and committees.
- Support governance frameworks to enhance operational excellence and align initiatives with organizational goals.
- Manage institutional innovation initiatives ensuring alignment with strategy, facilitating related workshops and tracking progress for continuous improvement.
- Organize and lead workshops and meetings to document decisions and follow up on timely completion of action items.
Educational & Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Master’s degree in Project Management, Strategic Management, Institutional Transformation, or an MBA is preferred.
