Job description
Position Overview
The AOI Process Engineer will oversee system operations emphasizing quality and compliance standards. The role requires the identification and recommendation of process improvements by monitoring key metrics and analyzing data trends, necessitating robust technical proficiency to excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain AOI processes to facilitate new product introductions, qualification procedures, and large-scale production.
- Enhance yield, quality, and reliability through detailed data analysis, troubleshooting, root cause assessments, and corrective measures.
- Create and standardize manufacturing processes, including control plans, FMEA, design rules, and operational procedures.
- Assess, qualify, and sustain equipment used for AOI, inspection, measurement, and analysis to ensure stability and capability of processes.
- Implement technology roadmaps by validating design rules, integrating processes, and introducing new materials.
- Champion continuous improvement and change management initiatives, collaborating with clients and interdisciplinary teams to address technical challenges and promote manufacturing excellence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, although 1 to 3 years relevant experience is beneficial.
- Preferred background in substrate, PCB, semiconductor manufacturing, process or production engineering.
- Familiarity with AOI systems, metrology, inspection, or process control in manufacturing contexts.
- Advantageous knowledge in quality enhancement, yield improvement, and productivity optimization.
- Understanding of measurement techniques, analytical methods, and reliability assessments is a plus.
- Basic substrate manufacturing process knowledge is preferred.
- Exposure to tools such as Excel Macros, Power BI, programming, or automation is advantageous.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
