Role Overview

The hostess is tasked with delivering exceptional service by warmly welcoming and assisting guests. Familiarity with restaurant menus and the ability to promote menu items is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide consistently professional, friendly, and engaging service.
• Bid farewell to guests as they leave the venue.
• Offer accurate wait time estimates and manage waitlists effectively, assisting guests with detailed information on all food and beverage options.
• Handle reservation management.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings and ongoing promotions.
• Escort guests to dining or bar locations.
• Distribute menus and introduce waitstaff per established policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Collaborate with team members regarding seating availability.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards during guest interactions.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School diploma
• Prior experience as a hostess is preferable
• Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is advantageous
• Strong communication and organizational capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with problem solving aptitude
• Possession of a basic Food Safety Certificate
• Capable of performing effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting
