Job Responsibilities and Requirements

This role demands proficiency in software testing focused on ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data environments. The candidate will validate ETL workflows, data migration, and transformation ensuring data quality between sources and targets. Strong SQL skills are essential for data validation, reconciliation, and handling complex queries. Experience with ETL platforms such as Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, or equivalents is required. Knowledge of dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, and data marts for data warehouse testing is also important. Familiarity with Big Data tools including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, HDFS, or Kafka is expected.

Additional expected competencies include working knowledge of test frameworks like TestNG or JUnit, SQL clients, Unix/Linux command line, and version control systems like Git. Experience in integrating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI is valued. The candidate should understand Agile methodologies and software lifecycle processes and be comfortable with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure Boards. Core skills involve extensive data validation, integrity checks, database testing, and complete ETL workflow verification. Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary for success.
