Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and document the data requirements and technical specifications needed for projects.
- Transition existing data collection workflows into more streamlined and effective pipelines.
- Design and implement data engineering pipelines and reporting solutions tailored to analytics objectives.
- Create comprehensive test plans and scripts to support system testing and facilitate user acceptance.
- Work closely with technical stakeholders to ensure proper deployment and adoption of data solutions.
- Maintain optimal operation and troubleshoot production issues related to IT systems and data processes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of both waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
- Practical experience with DevOps deployment practices and data virtualization tools like Denodo is preferred.
- Proficiency with business intelligence and visualization software, including SAP BusinessObjects and Tableau.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hive, Impala, and Cloudera Data Platform is advantageous.
- Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark, alongside working knowledge of Linux and ETL tools such as Informatica.
- Expertise in advanced SQL usage and data modeling techniques.
- Solid understanding of analytics frameworks and data warehouse architecture.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems effectively.
- Experience maintaining high-availability and high-performance systems in data centers or hybrid cloud settings is a plus.
