About the Role
Join our store's pharmacy team as a Dispenser, playing a vital role in supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to safely and efficiently deliver pharmacy and health-related services.
You will interact with patients daily, building relationships by understanding their needs, from welcoming customers to dispensing prescriptions and advising on medicine usage to help them make well-informed health decisions.
Note: This position is based onsite within the UK. Candidates applying remotely or from outside the UK must have valid UK qualifications and work authorization.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescriptions ensuring the safe supply of medication, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collection processes.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services.
- Offer medicine-related care and guidance to patients and escalate queries appropriately to pharmacists.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain safe and legal dispensing practices.
- Stay updated on store innovations and comply with operational workflows.
- Support patients in managing repeat prescriptions and promote effective medicine adherence to minimize waste.
Utilize evolving in-store technologies to enhance dispensing processes, improving patient safety while allowing more patient interaction time.
Development Opportunities
Regular training will be provided to enhance your healthcare expertise, with pathways available to qualify as a Pharmacy Technician or advance into store leadership roles.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or currently pursuing an MPharm qualification with at least one year completed.
- Proof of current and valid UK right to work (no visa sponsorship provided).
Preferred:
- Previous experience in community pharmacy environments.
