Role Overview

This position as a Dispenser within one of our retail pharmacies makes you a vital team member supporting pharmacists and healthcare specialists to deliver pharmacy and health services safely and efficiently.

Serving as a Healthcare Department associate in-store, your responsibilities include engaging with patients by understanding their healthcare needs, accurately dispensing prescriptions, ensuring safe medication sales, and providing knowledgeable advice to help customers make informed health choices.

This is an in-store role located in the UK; applicants must possess valid UK work authorization and appropriate qualifications. Applications from outside the UK without relevant credentials will not proceed.

Key Duties

• Dispensing prescriptions with safety and accuracy, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and processing prescription collections.
• Collaborating with fellow healthcare staff in the store to support pharmacy service delivery and management.
• Guiding and advising patients on medication use, escalating queries to pharmacists as necessary.
• Adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures to maintain legal and safe dispensing.
• Staying informed about new store innovations and complying with operational standards.
• Helping patients manage medication adherence and prescriptions effectively to reduce waste.

You'll work with advancing technologies to enhance dispensing processes, improving patient safety and creating more patient interaction time.

Training and Career Development

Regular training updates will support your healthcare knowledge growth. Various career paths are available, including progression to Pharmacy Technician roles or leadership opportunities within the store team.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Completion of Pharmacy Advisor NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification, or progressed through the first year of an MPharm degree.
• Only candidates with current UK work rights are eligible; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not offered.
• Experience in community pharmacy is advantageous but not mandatory.

Remuneration and Benefits

The hourly pay starts from £13.92, reaching up to £16.64 at select London locations.
