Job description
Role Overview
This position involves working as a pivotal member of the pharmacy team located within Boots stores. The Dispenser supports pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient and secure delivery of pharmaceutical and healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispensing prescriptions, including ordering, labeling, and endorsing medicines, while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals in the store to manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
- Offering patients guidance and advice about medications, referring complex queries to the pharmacist as needed.
- Adhering strictly to Standard Operating Procedures for safe and lawful prescription dispensing.
- Staying informed of innovations and changes within the store to comply with operational procedures.
- Assisting patients in managing prescriptions, promoting adherence, preventing waste via reliable repeat services.
- Utilizing evolving in-store technologies to enhance dispensing processes and patient safety, allowing more patient interaction time.
Candidate Requirements
- Must have completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or be in progress with at least the first year of an MPharm degree.
- Must have current and valid UK right to work; sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Previous experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.

This role is store-based and remote applications will not be considered. Applicants from outside the UK must provide proof of UK qualifications and legal work authorization.
