Job description
Role Overview
The Relief Dispenser position involves rotating across multiple stores within a specified local area, playing a crucial role in assisting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to maintain the safe and efficient operation of pharmacy and healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions carefully while ensuring medication safety, including tasks like medicine ordering, labelling, and prescription processing.
- Collaborate with store healthcare teams to support effective management and delivery of pharmacy services.
- Offer medication-related advice and patient care, directing complex queries to the pharmacist as necessary.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee legal and safe dispensing practices.
- Stay informed about store innovations and follow operational protocols.
- Assist patients in managing prescriptions conveniently and encourage proper medication adherence to minimize wastage.
- Facilitate communication with store staff to ensure continuous patient care.
- Engage with evolving in-store technologies to enhance dispensing processes and patient safety.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or its equivalent.
- Ability to travel flexibly within a designated geographical area.
- Valid UK right to work, with no sponsorship available for Skilled Worker Visa.
- Experience in community pharmacy is advantageous but not mandatory.
Compensation
Starting hourly pay ranges from £13.92 up to £16.64 depending on location within London.
