Job Purpose
The Community Support Worker role involves assisting in providing tailored community support to several individuals facing intellectual, physical, and mental health challenges. This includes helping these individuals integrate as valued members of their communities and enhancing their emotional, social, occupational, and learning experiences through community-based programmes. The position entails both one-to-one support during social activities and group work within community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate educational, recreational, and occupational activities suitable for community integration.
- Ensure practices align with the latest research aimed at improving quality of life for service users.
- Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and community personnel to facilitate accessible community engagement opportunities for service users.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Social Care or equivalent.
- Possession of a full clean driver's license.
- Experience supporting people with intellectual, physical, and mental health needs.
- Desirable: Familiarity with local community resources.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range begins at €31,561.56 (point 1) up to €43,731.06 (point 11), pro-rated and subject to negotiation based on experience and qualifications.
