Role Overview

The position of Community Support Worker involves delivering personalized community-based support to individuals facing intellectual, physical, and mental health challenges. You will help them integrate as valued members of their communities by enhancing their emotional, social, occupational, and educational experiences. This includes providing one-on-one support for social activities and facilitating group interactions within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, monitor, and evaluate educational, recreational, and occupational programs tailored to community settings.
• Ensure adherence to best practices based on current research to improve quality of life.
• Coordinate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and community personnel to facilitate accessible activities for service users.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Social Care or equivalent credential.
• Possession of a full clean driver’s licence.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual, physical, and mental health challenges.
• Familiarity with local community resources is highly advantageous.

Additional Information

This is a permanent part-time role based at the Clonmel Resource Centre in Clonmel, County Tipperary, working 35 hours per week.

Salary ranges from €31,561.56 to €43,731.06 pro rata, commencing at point 1 and negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
