About the Role and Organisation
Join Rehab Enterprises, a voluntary organization with over 70 years of experience supporting people with disabilities and their families. Our dedicated work impacts more than 10,000 individuals, empowering them with confidence, skills, and belief in achieving their goals. We are seeking an Aspect Key Worker to join our Aspect Asperger Syndrome (AS) Support Service located in Rock Street, Tralee, County Kerry.
Role Purpose
This permanent full-time position (39 hours per week) involves delivering a Key Work service aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of Aspect clients within their communities. Clients are adults over 18 years old, who have completed secondary education, with a primary diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome or Autism Spectrum Disorder without intellectual disability (ASD Non-ID).
Core Responsibilities
- Develop, plan, implement, and regularly review individualized support and intervention programs in accordance with service standards and current best practices.
- Increase awareness, education, and understanding of Asperger Syndrome and ASD Non-ID among professionals and the broader community.
- Coordinate referrals and transitions of clients across different components of the Aspect service in communication with management.
- Maintain detailed documentation of client engagements, including intervention plans, progress notes, and reports, ensuring professional standards and clear communication within the multidisciplinary team according to established policies.
Additional Duties and Requirements
- Work confidentially within a team environment that may include lone working scenarios.
- Typical working hours are Monday to Friday between 8 am and 6 pm, with flexibility required for occasional evenings and Saturdays.
- Participate in relevant training and continuous professional development including ASD-specific in-service training, conferences, research activities, and presentations.
- Support relationships and collaborations with key stakeholders such as the Aspect team, clients, support networks, educational and training agencies, and health services.
Education and Experience
- A third-level degree in Social Care, Education, or Health.
- At least one year of experience working in disability, education, or training fields.
- Demonstrated progressive understanding of Asperger’s Syndrome and ASD Non-ID.
- Ability to independently manage challenging situations, including crisis management.

Terms and Application Details
