Job Role: Care Worker

This permanent role based at Drombanna Residential Service in County Limerick involves delivering personal care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges within a high-support residential setting. The role emphasizes respecting individuals, applying positive behavioral supports for challenging behaviors, and promoting community living, personal development, and social inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Encourage and participate in team collaboration to create a supportive and nurturing atmosphere for service users.
• Deliver person-centered services tailored to the needs, preferences, and requirements of the individuals supported.
• Consistently treat service users with dignity, respect, equality, and provide choices in care and support.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Social Care or an equivalent certification.
• Ability to function effectively within a team providing person-centered support.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of service users at all times.
• Possession of a full clean driver's license.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges from 31,531.64 to 343,730.75 (pro rata), negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
