BMS Technician

Overview

ALEC Engineering and Contracting L.L.C., part of ICD and a prominent GCC construction firm with over two decades of experience, is establishing a talent pool for forthcoming BMS Technician roles in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The position is based onsite and relocation will be necessary. ALEC has contributed to landmark UAE developments and offers comprehensive construction and technology solutions through ALEC Technologies, specializing in ICT infrastructure, ELV, AV, Security, and IoT systems designed to optimize operational efficiency and safety.

Role Responsibilities

• Install, wire, and terminate BMS field components including sensors, actuators, and controllers according to drawings.
• Perform panel wiring tasks including ferruling, cable glanding, and control panel connections.
• Install communication cabling for BMS systems in compliance with site routing needs.
• Assist with installation of controllers, I/O modules, network switches, and control panels.
• Interpret shop drawings, general arrangement drawings, and installation manuals accurately.
• Conduct point-to-point functional testing on field devices and controllers.
• Support testing of analog/digital signals and overall system operations.
• Help detect and troubleshoot wiring or communication faults in the system.
• Adhere to project safety, quality, and standard protocols during installation.
• Collaborate within a team, supporting senior technicians in installation and commissioning duties.

Candidate Profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Between 3 and 7 years of relevant experience installing and commissioning BMS systems.
• Preferably experienced with commercial building or data center projects.
• Hands-on familiarity with BMS field devices and system basics.
• Experience with major BMS platforms like Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, or Johnson Controls is favorable.
