Role Overview

The Barista position entails crafting superior coffee and beverage offerings, delivering outstanding guest experiences, and maintaining a neat, orderly work environment. The role demands meticulousness, the ability to cope in a dynamic setting, and enthusiasm for coffee and hospitality services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve diverse hot and cold drinks, including coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and smoothies.
• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, responding to queries and providing menu suggestions.
• Operate and care for coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
• Ensure drink quality by adhering to established recipes and standards.
• Keep the coffee bar, workstation, and seating areas clean and well-organized.
• Replenish stock including coffee beans, syrups, milk, and necessary supplies.
• Comply with health and safety standards, including appropriate food handling and hygiene practices.
• Support additional duties as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior barista experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with coffee brewing techniques and espresso-based drinks is beneficial.
• Excellent customer service skills coupled with strong communication abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple orders efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
• Dependability, punctuality, and collaborative spirit.
• Physical stamina to stand for prolonged intervals and lift items like milk containers and coffee bean sacks.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
