Rainbow Tourism Group is seeking qualified individuals for the permanent position of Landscape Supervisor. The successful applicant will join the Repairs & Maintenance Department based at Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare, Zimbabwe. The role reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and focuses on overseeing landscaping and grounds upkeep to ensure the premises are attractive and well-managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily landscaping, gardening, and grounds maintenance tasks.
• Plan and supervise activities including lawn mowing, edging, pruning, trimming, planting, watering, and overall garden care.
• Maintain neatness and appeal of gardens, lawns, flower beds, trees, walkways, and other outdoor areas consistently.
• Create and manage seasonal planting and landscaping schedules.
• Supervise proper use and upkeep of gardening tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Monitor irrigation systems to promote water efficiency.
• Detect and manage plant diseases, pests, and weeds affecting the landscape.
• Keep accurate records of landscaping operations, materials, equipment, and necessary maintenance tasks.
• Ensure safe handling, use, and storage of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and related materials.
• Direct landscaping staff activities, allocate responsibilities, and track attendance, productivity, and performance.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in external areas by removing debris such as leaves, branches, and litter.
• Support planning for landscaping projects, renovations, and upgrades to hotel grounds.
• Enforce adherence to the hotel's Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Diploma in Horticulture, Landscaping, Agriculture and Garden Management, or a closely related discipline.
• Have at least three years of relevant experience in landscaping, horticulture, gardening, or grounds maintenance, ideally within hotels, resorts, commercial properties, or institutional settings.
• Supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Demonstrate knowledge of irrigation systems, lawn care, pruning, planting, and horticultural practices in general.
