Human Capital Officer

About the Role

Rainbow Tourism Group seeks an energetic and goal-oriented Human Capital Officer to manage daily HR functions and advance talent management at the A’Zambezi River Lodge in Victoria Falls. This vital position acts as a strategic partner to the business, integrating comprehensive HR practices aligned with operational objectives, promoting a culture of high performance, encouraging strong employee involvement, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle, including hiring and onboarding, to bring top-quality talent into the hospitality unit.
• Oversee performance management processes, assist with career development initiatives, and implement ongoing training programs.
• Handle employee relations with fairness, enforce company policies, and ensure adherence to Zimbabwean labour laws while managing grievances and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain accurate HR records, facilitate monthly payroll submissions, administer benefits, and provide insightful HR analytics to leadership.
• Promote a dynamic lodge culture through employee engagement activities, workplace health and safety programs, and wellness initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field; professional HR certification such as IPMZ is an advantage.
• Possesses 2 to 3 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in hospitality, tourism, or service industries.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of local labor laws, skilled use of HR Information Systems, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Exhibits high emotional intelligence, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and maintains strict confidentiality.
