About the Role
The Electronic Security and Audio Visual Specialist is responsible for managing the design, installation, commissioning, operation, and upkeep of electronic security systems and distributed audiovisual infrastructure throughout various business units of the Group. The role covers CCTV surveillance, access controls, alarm, and perimeter security systems across the Hotel Business Units, along with maintaining and supporting AV equipment in conference rooms, boardrooms, and meeting facilities. Ensuring the operational integrity, timely maintenance, and alignment with the Group's security and operational standards are paramount aspects of this role.
Core Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade CCTV surveillance systems across multiple hotel units, including remote locations.
- Administer electronic access control systems featuring card readers and biometric devices.
- Maintain and test alarm systems, perimeter security, and emergency panic buttons at all hotel sites.
- Ensure continuous 24/7 operation and performance monitoring of all electronic security setups with prompt fault resolution.
- Install, configure, operate, and maintain audio visual equipment such as projectors, video conferencing systems, IPTV, digital signage, PA systems, and interactive presentation tools across all meeting venues.
- Provide hands-on AV support for conferences, events, board meetings, and video conferencing sessions, overseeing the full setup and teardown process.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and fast fault repairs to keep AV equipment in optimal condition.
- Offer advice on AV technology upgrades and procurements based on emerging technologies and specifications.
- Integrate CCTV, access control, and alarm systems with IT and security platforms for centralized monitoring and comprehensive visibility.
- Serve as first-line technical support for electronic security and AV challenges faced by property and operations teams.
- Develop and preserve technical documentation for all systems installed.
- React to security incidents and perform technical post-incident assessments.
- Ensure compliance of electronic security installations with regulations, group security policies, and site-specific operations.
- Conduct periodic physical security audits covering coverage, function, and standard compliance.
- Collaborate with Information Security Assurance personnel on risk assessments.
- Maintain detailed records for system maintenance, incidents, and inspections.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships for electronic security and AV services.
- Supervise preventive maintenance plans and service agreements.
- Keep an up-to-date asset register reflecting installations, replacements, and decommissions in real time.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a closely related discipline.
- Solid understanding of IP networking, particularly concerning security systems.
- Experience with IP-based video management software (VMS) and data reporting tools.
- Relevant vendor certifications for IP CCTV systems, access control devices or audio visual solutions.
- Three to five years of practical experience implementing electronic security and/or AV systems.
- Experience working in hospitality or large commercial settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated integrity, ethical behavior, and professionalism in handling data privacy matters.

- Technical proficiency in IP CCTV, access control, alarm management, and perimeter surveillance both indoors and outdoor environments.
- Expertise in AV integration platforms, conferencing technologies, and distributed AV room systems along with fault diagnosis capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately.
- Strong troubleshooting talents and attention to detail.
- Capable of working autonomously across diverse and remotely located sites with minimal oversight.
- Vendor and contractor management experience to coordinate maintenance and services.
