About Rainbow Tourism Group Storeman Role

Rainbow Tourism Group invites qualified candidates for the position of Storeman within the Finance Department at Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel. This permanent role requires overseeing stock management and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

Primary Duties

• Manage and monitor stock levels including setting re-order thresholds.
• Carry out regular stock counts and contribute to comprehensive stock taking activities.
• Initiate purchase requests to advise the purchasing team on needed stock quantities.
• Distribute stock solely based on approved requests.
• Keep bin cards and stock records current and accurate.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and hygiene requirements.
• Evaluate stock quality, suitability for use, and check expiry dates diligently.
• Prevent stock from expiring unnecessarily through effective control.

Candidate Requirements

• National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of materials control systems.
• Minimum of two years' pertinent experience in procurement and store management.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well interpersonally.
• Assertive character with unquestionable honesty.

The role reports to the Assistant Accountant and is located in Victoria Falls, Matabeleland North Province, Zimbabwe.
