Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Author based in Dundalk, Ireland to join our team. This role reports to the Technical Manager and involves producing test documentation for our proprietary iOS Engineer App in Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF formats, aligned with our drawings and testing schedules. The role includes extensive use of the Vision database for data coordination, particularly regarding service tag requests. Close coordination with production teams and project managers in Ireland and the UK is essential to meet strict production timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify and request equipment service tags using the Vision database.
- Create electronic test documentation templates compatible with the iOS Engineer App.
- Prepare Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documents.
- Author and assemble Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Client Training Manuals, and Technical Reports adhering to high-quality standards.
- Engage daily with production teams to monitor workflow, enhance processes, and address issues.
- Support employee training, development, and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holding a 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in electrical manufacturing, testing, commissioning, or design.
- Team-oriented with positive attitude, strong staff engagement, and effective communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive with a keen eye for process improvement and problem resolution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and familiar with AutoCAD.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland (EU).
Preferred Skills
- Background in electrical trade.
- Good understanding of electrical engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with Power Switchgear and Controlgear assemblies.
