Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Workday Consultant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave. This role supports our ambitious FY27 People Technology roadmap by enhancing Workday, reporting and analytics, learning systems, and process improvements. You will contribute to meaningful projects that enhance the experience for both employees and leaders within one of New Zealand’s foremost health and wellbeing organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support, configuration, and enhancement of Workday and associated people platforms.
- Design scalable systems solutions that consider business requirements, user experience, risk, and compliance.
- Create and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and people analytics to guide both operational and strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective system solutions.
- Lead delivery efforts for the FY27 People Technology roadmap, including tasks related to reporting uplift, learning improvements, automation, and enhancing employee experience.
- Manage testing, validation, and implementation of system changes and new features.
- Identify and recommend process simplifications, data quality enhancements, and automation opportunities.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to systems, data, and processes ensuring strong governance and data integrity.
- Support compliance, audit, and risk management activities ensuring adherence to controls and regulatory standards.
- Proactively identify risks related to systems, processes, and data, and suggest improvements to increase security and control.
- Contribute to the development of a high-performing People Systems team focused on continual improvement and excellent user experience.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in Workday within People Systems, HRIS, or HR Technology roles, including system configuration and enhancements.
- Proficiency in developing reports and dashboards through Workday Reporting and familiarity with tools like Power BI for data visualization.
- Experience working with Workday Learning is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a knack for translating data into actionable insights.
- A user-centered approach, passionate about delivering HR technologies that improve employee and leader experiences.
- Skillful in simplifying complex technical information for diverse audiences.
- Track record managing system enhancements end-to-end from discovery and design through implementation and testing.
- Understanding of governance, security, and risk controls in regulated environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement capabilities coupled with a mindset focused on continuous improvement and maximizing technology value.
