Job Summary

The Transportation Operations Supervisor at Jadeer Logistics Services Company is responsible for overseeing the daily transportation activities to guarantee the safe, efficient, and punctual delivery of goods across various regions. This role contributes significantly to the company’s mission of operational excellence and high customer satisfaction by optimizing fleet usage, lowering delays, and ensuring full compliance with transportation regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily transport operations including driver scheduling, route planning, verifying loads, and managing vehicle dispatch.
  • Supervise driver performance using vehicle tracking systems and enforce adherence to safety protocols, speed limits, and delivery standards.
  • Serve as the main liaison among operations, maintenance, customer service, and planning teams to maintain seamless transport order handovers.
  • Ensure all transportation operations comply with internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), traffic laws, and relevant regulatory authorities such as GACA and MOT, along with adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
  • Monitor fleet availability and coordinate preventative maintenance with service teams to reduce downtime.
  • Track delivery schedules, handle route issues or emergencies promptly, and keep customers and internal parties updated.
  • Assist in documenting and resolving incidents or accidents, maintaining proper communication with respective departments.
  • Support the Fleet Manager with data gathering for key performance indicators including on-time delivery, fuel use efficiency, and driver infractions.
  • Conduct safety briefings and driver toolbox talks, ensuring thorough knowledge of routes and cargo handling procedures.
  • Validate trip records, fuel receipts, and delivery documents to prepare for billing and audits.
  • Maintain clear, timely communications with drivers and quickly address operational challenges.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications in Transport Operations, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), or Fleet Management are advantageous.
  • Four to six years’ experience in transportation or logistics operations, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proven experience managing drivers, dispatch, and fleet scheduling in busy logistics settings.
  • Strong leadership abilities and sound decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS), GPS tracking tools, and ERP software modules.
  • Comprehensive understanding of transport regulations, safety protocols, and vehicle documentation requirements.
  • Excellent bilingual communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Effective problem-solving aptitude and the capability to manage crises or delays calmly and efficiently.
