Storeperson

About the Role

CMS Engineering, part of the BGIS group, is seeking a dependable and organized Storeperson to join their team in Perth, Western Australia. This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week) focused on supporting the operational efficiency of the warehouse and workshop through inventory management, logistics coordination, and tool and equipment support.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, document, and properly store incoming goods
• Maintain accurate stock records and control inventory levels
• Manage company tools, ladders, and equipment with sign-in/out tracking
• Prepare parts, tools, and materials for technicians and project teams as needed
• Handle vehicle loading/unloading, schedule deliveries, pickups, and on-site shipments
• Assist with ordering stock, purchasing parts, and raising purchase orders
• Oversee refrigerant inventory, cylinders, usage logs, and storage compliance
• Support fleet vehicle allocations and other related duties as assigned
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the warehouse and workshop including waste management
• Provide practical assistance to technicians and project teams, occasionally under supervision on-site

Candidate Profile

• At least two years of experience in warehouse, stores, logistics, or similar roles
• Must possess a current manual driver's license and White Card
• Well-developed organizational, inventory control, and time management abilities
• Proficient with computer systems, including stock management or ordering platforms
• Physically capable of safely handling and moving tools, equipment, and materials
• Meticulous attention to detail in recordkeeping
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with technicians, supervisors, project teams, and administration
• A proactive, reliable, team-oriented, and safety-first mindset
• Full legal working rights within Australia are mandatory
• Experience within mechanical, HVAC, construction, trades, facilities maintenance, or technical services environments is highly favored
• Forklift licence and knowledge of workshop operations, refrigerants, or purchasing processes advantageous
