About the Role
BGIS is hiring a full-time Handy Person based in Brisbane, Queensland. This permanent position involves performing routine and urgent maintenance tasks across a variety of building services such as air conditioning, plumbing, tiling, painting, carpentry, and general repairs. You will contribute to maintaining safe, dependable, and well-presented facilities while working collaboratively with a professional team.

Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance involving plumbing, tiling, painting, carpentry, and building system repairs
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests through helpdesk coordination
- Perform site inspections, equipment checks and suggest asset maintenance improvements
- Collaborate effectively with Facilities Managers, Supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth maintenance service delivery
- Maintain accurate records and update work orders within BGIS systems
- Assist with capital works projects and related documentation
- Participate in after-hours call-out rotation as needed
- Adhere to Work Health Safety and Environment (WHSE) standards, regulations, and company policies
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in building or facilities maintenance demonstrating a broad skillset across plumbing, tiling, painting, carpentry, and repairs
- Minimum of a High School Certificate or equivalent; trade qualifications are advantageous
- Mandatory White Card and valid driver's license
- Holding EWP certification or additional licenses is beneficial
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
- Excellent communication abilities and customer service orientation
- Strong commitment to WHSE compliance and quality standards
- Eligible to work full-time in Australia
