About the Role
Located in Redditch, Worcestershire, this opportunity offers a competitive salary and a permanent day shift schedule running Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:30, and Friday from 08:00 to 15:00. We are hiring a Setter Operator to join an established manufacturer specializing in customized products for the electrical industry market, serving clients both within the UK and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate various production machines ensuring precise calibration.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to maintain accuracy.
- Work within strict tolerance levels to uphold quality standards.
- Accurately measure material length and quantities using Excel spreadsheets combined with mental calculations.
- Consistently meet and strive to exceed production targets.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Setter Operator, proficient with production machinery was exercised.
- Prior involvement in the metal industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Openness and capability to be trained on both modern and legacy machines.
