Role Overview
We seek a Senior Staff Engineer specialized in Microcontroller Sub-System Verification to lead complex verification projects, define verification strategies and methodologies, and ensure product quality from initial verification through final signoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for verification strategies covering complex microcontroller sub-systems, influencing architecture and methodology.
- Develop and maintain scalable, reusable verification methodologies leveraging UVM, formal methods, assertions, and coverage-driven techniques.
- Design and architect robust verification environments including reusable components such as UVCs, C models, scoreboards, and both vertical and horizontal testbenches.
- Drive coverage strategy and closure activities, perform root-cause analysis on coverage gaps, collaborating with design and architecture teams to ensure thorough verification completion.
- Engage cross-functionally with design, architecture, SoC, software, validation, and program teams to address complex technical challenges, align on project milestones, and minimize integration risks.
- Support subsystem integration through test planning, vector delivery, and debugging; mentor engineering teams to elevate technical capabilities and execution excellence.
Candidate Profile
- A leadership-oriented, inclusive collaborator capable of mentoring and guiding technical direction in ambiguous situations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- At least 10 years of ASIC design verification experience with substantial hands-on expertise working on UVM-based verification environments for complex IP or SoC integration.
- Proficient in verification of ARM or RISC-V instruction set architectures with thorough understanding of processor, microcontroller, and subsystem verification challenges.
- Experienced with formal verification tools (e.g., VC Formal), assertion-based and constrained-random verification techniques.
- Familiarity with Jasper subsystem and SoC verification environments.
- Knowledge of AMBA bus protocols, gate-level simulation debugging, power extraction, and power-aware verification methodologies is advantageous.
- Strong skills in coverage-driven verification and SystemVerilog Assertions.
- Expertise in RTL simulation tools and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and shell scripting to enhance verification infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ programming.
