Joining us means becoming part of a pioneering AI-focused business unit called AIDA (Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics). This unit drives Singtel's AI transformation efforts by integrating intelligent solutions throughout the organization, redefining business value, and amplifying human potential.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be pivotal in enabling the stability, performance, and lifecycle management of machine learning models and pipelines. Your expertise will support the operational maturity of our ML workflows and foster a culture of AI literacy and excellence throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee MLOps workflows, tools, and production processes tailored for ML and Generative AI services.
  • Ensure the daily operational health, stability, and reliability of models and data pipelines in production environments.
  • Manage comprehensive model lifecycle activities including registration, version control, deployment tracking, reproducibility, lineage, and governance adherence.
  • Develop monitoring systems to detect data drift, concept drift, model degradation, inference accuracy, and service-level issues.
  • Create dashboards and set up alert mechanisms to track model performance, data integrity, ML inference behavior, and key operational metrics.
  • Establish incident response protocols for handling, recovery, rollback, and escalation of ML system incidents.
  • Implement strategies for data quality assurance, dataset versioning, and lineage monitoring throughout the ML lifecycle.
  • Collaborate on data governance initiatives, including documentation and policy enforcement related to ML models, datasets, and production deployments.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
  • Practical experience with MLOps methodologies, tools, and cloud machine learning platforms such as MLflow, Databricks, and Azure ML.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques essential for validation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting tasks.
  • Expertise with model lifecycle management tools incorporating model registries, versioning systems, and deployment tracking.
  • Ability to work with dashboarding and alerting platforms like Power BI, Tableau, and Databricks SQL dashboards.
  • Familiarity with software engineering practices including Git, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), scripting, and production support is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical mindset capable of translating governance requirements into executable processes.
  • Effective communication skills to explain sophisticated technical risks and mitigation plans to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in fast-paced workplaces.
  • Experience or understanding of ML and data ecosystems within the telecommunications sector is a plus.
