Job description
Position Overview
This position entails the role of a Report Developer responsible for creating, developing, and deploying reports for a stock trading system based in Changi, Singapore, on a contract basis lasting over a year. The developer will liaise extensively with business analysts and stakeholders to convert requirements into technical deliverables, ensuring the outputs are accurate, conform to compliance guidelines, and delivered promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business teams to collect and confirm reporting requirements.
- Understand and apply data source mapping and transformation logics essential for reporting.
- Design and develop approximately 100 reports leveraging approved tools and frameworks.
- Ensure alignment of report outputs with specified business requirements and bank standards.
- Develop and execute test cases while supporting User Acceptance Testing, including validating reports and addressing defects swiftly.
- Manage production deployment activities in compliance with the bank’s change management protocols, including documentation and rollback strategies.
- Collaborate closely with banking teams to secure system and environment access.
- Provide status updates and reports on utilization as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven expertise in report creation for financial or stock trading systems.
- Proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and data transformation with a clear understanding of ETL processes.
- Experience working with reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Knowledge of stock trading workflows and financial data structures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills during testing phases and live production deployment.
- Excellent communication skills along with effective stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in credit pool model initiatives or time-based service projects is advantageous.
- Familiarity with banking technical environments and compliance requirements.
- Between 3 to 7 years of experience in IT support roles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting while being self-motivated.
- Organizational skills with an emphasis on adhering to established processes and procedures.
- Prior experience leading teams of at least six members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum three years specifically in report development within banking or financial services sector is mandatory.
Compensation
The role offers a monthly salary of $6700.
