The Role

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Frontend Platform team on a full-time basis. The focus will be on crafting exceptional frontend interfaces for developers utilizing Tailor's platform, including the developer Console application as well as frontend frameworks, components, and libraries.

You will collaborate with Core Platform teams to develop user interfaces for platform features within the Console, and work alongside Forward Deployed teams to build frontend applications tailored for delivering customer solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Tailor's Console, the key interface for developers to configure and administer their Tailor apps.
• Create reusable UI components and design system elements that are leveraged across the platform and client applications.
• Build frontend abstractions such as AppShell to speed up Forward Deployed teams’ delivery of customer solutions.
• Work jointly with platform teams located in Japan to deliver features from start to finish.
• Influence the developer experience for engineers working with Tailor's platform.
• Participate in architectural discussions concerning our React and TypeScript technology stack.

Candidate Profile

• More than five years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
• Background in constructing design systems, component libraries, or developer-centric tools.
• Well-informed views on frontend architecture, state management, and enhancing developer experience.
• Able to work asynchronously across multiple time zones including Australia, Japan, and the United States.
• Experience deploying production software used by real users, with an understanding from both code and product perspectives.
• Familiarity with headless or composable platforms and enterprise software development.
• Experience or enthusiasm to learn Terraform and Go is a bonus.
