About the Role
We seek a skilled Senior Data Architect to lead the design and development of a shared data platform tailored to multiple products and deployment scenarios. This hands-on position involves creating secure, resilient, and high-performing data infrastructure supporting operational systems, analytics, and AI-driven solutions, including air-gapped and mission-critical on-premise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead research, design, and implementation of adaptable shared data platforms across diverse products and environments.
- Develop and advocate architectural standards for data warehouses, data lakes, and comprehensive data management frameworks.
- Design and supervise the construction of data pipelines for operational, analytical, and AI workloads.
- Define architecture standards and manage schemas for varied data types including structured, semi-structured, unstructured, time-series, geospatial, and binary data.
- Engineer solutions suited to on-premise, air-gapped, disconnected, low-latency, and security-critical conditions.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical implementations and overall strategy and roadmap.
- Provide architectural guidance while maintaining involvement in platform delivery and practical execution.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of eight years’ expertise in data engineering, software architecture, or related fields.
- In-depth knowledge of data architecture, platform development, and data governance.
- Proficiency with relational and non-relational database technologies.
- Experience with distributed processing frameworks, messaging systems, integration patterns, and orchestration tools.
- Understanding of data lifecycle management including data retention, archiving, and stewardship.
- Strong grasp of security architecture principles, access controls, auditing, and regulatory compliance.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related discipline.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical visions to diverse audiences.
- Adaptable, pragmatic mindset with proven ability to thrive under changing priorities and demanding project circumstances.
- Upper-intermediate or higher proficiency in written and spoken English.
