Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with at least three years of experience in data engineering or a similar role. You will contribute to developing, implementing, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines and actively support data migration projects. The role involves working with raw data extraction processes, transforming data for business intelligence tools, and continually evolving cloud-based data products within our modern data platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to enable efficient data integration and participate actively in data migration activities.
- Create robust data loading procedures and interfaces to automate raw data extraction and ingestion into the data platform.
- Transform complex datasets into accessible formats for BI tools, simplifying data structures sustainably.
- Build and enhance new data products within our cloud data platform, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Model, optimize, and document data models and pipelines to provide reliable data for self-service analysis.
- Perform data quality checks to guarantee timely delivery of accurate and consistent data across systems.
- Enhance existing data infrastructure focusing on performance, stability, maintainability, and secure data handling throughout processes.
- Manage technical interfaces with stakeholders, product owners, development, and BI teams to ensure smooth daily operations in an agile environment (Scrum & Kanban).
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in data engineering or a related position such as Data Warehouse Engineer or Data Platform Engineer.
- Strong programming skills in Python and enthusiasm for modern data platform development, ideally utilizing AI-powered tools.
- Proficient knowledge of SQL fundamentals and confident handling of relational databases.
- Deep understanding of interfaces with a passion for hands-on construction of complex ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration platforms.
- Preferably experienced with cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Google BigQuery and BI/visualization tools like Power BI.
- Precise, structured, and solution-focused working style with the ability to pragmatically translate technical requirements into stable data products.
- Excellent communication skills within technical contexts combined with a focused work approach.
- Fluent in both German and English at a negotiation level.

Additional Information
