Job description
Position Overview
Join the Mall Operations team at site to manage and oversee all security and fire safety aspects during your shift, working closely with the Security/Operation Head. Your role focuses on maintaining secure premises and safety protocols for the mall environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain the site-specific security policies and procedures, including crime prevention programs.
- Supervise security and fire safety personnel; assign tasks and deliver training sessions on security protocols, basic fire safety, and first aid on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Ensure thorough documentation and conduct police verifications for vendor security staff; regularly audit contractor compliance.
- Lead security investigations and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Manage tracking of material movements and oversee the Lost and Found inventory.
- Respond effectively to emergencies such as fires, evacuations, customer issues, and human crises.
- Develop and maintain an emergency preparedness and disaster management plan in collaboration with an Emergency Response Team (ERT).
- Conduct security risk assessments and devise guarding strategies accordingly.
- Organize mock drills for various emergency scenarios, including medical emergencies, bomb threats, searches, and riots.
- Operate and monitor security and safety equipment such as CCTV, access control systems, door frame metal detectors (DFMD), and fire detection and fighting devices.
- Hold weekly meetings with vendor operations heads and communicate minutes of meetings (M.O.M) to project managers and clients.
Reporting
Report directly to the Operation Head or Security Manager.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail and logical problem-solving abilities for both immediate and long-term security challenges.
- High integrity in performing duties.
- Qualified degree holder with 3 to 5 years of security experience, preferably within mall, hotel, commercial, or similar property environments.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced in conducting fire drills and mock emergency drills.
