Position Overview

The Sampler role is based at the Iduapriem Gold Mine in Ghana’s Western Region and entails full-time onsite work within the Processing department. The main responsibility is to gather and prepare process plant samples for internal and external laboratory testing across shifts and daily schedules, ensuring precision and operational continuity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect process plant samples with accuracy on a daily and shift basis and prepare them for submission.
• Examine automatic samplers, confirm their proper function, and report any issues to the Senior Plant Metallurgist.
• Assist in sample prep tasks such as drying, crushing, pulverizing, splitting, and sieving ore and slurry samples.
• Support laboratory operations by handling the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, preparing reagents, and aiding in chemical and metallurgical tests.
• Keep detailed records of sample collection, preparation, and test results, aiding metallurgical investigations and routine activities.
• Adhere strictly to safety, health, environmental, and quality protocols while maintaining cleanliness in sampler and laboratory areas.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Educational attainment equivalent to GCE O level, Middle School Leaving Certificate, WASSCE, or NVTI.
• Two to three years of relevant experience working in a gold processing plant environment.
• Capable of multitasking effectively and delivering consistent results.
• Good physical condition paired with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A valid Ghanaian Driving Licence and ability to operate light vehicles.
• High attention to detail, reliability, and dedication to safe work practices.
• Ability to work under supervision while contributing to team objectives.
