Job description
Position Overview
This permanent role involves managing all aspects of restaurant operations at Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill located in a rural area of North Bay, Ontario. The position requires approximately 30 hours per week and fluency in English. Candidates should possess at minimum a secondary/high school graduation diploma and have between 7 months and less than 1 year of relevant experience.
Key Duties
- Analyze and develop budgets ranging between $1,500,001 to $4,000,000 to promote profitability.
- Evaluate daily restaurant activities, adjusting food preparation processes and menu pricing accordingly.
- Monitor revenues and labor costs carefully.
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily operations including staff recruitment, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Manage inventory effectively and negotiate supplier agreements for food and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with provincial liquor laws and health and safety regulations.
- Engage in marketing initiatives and participate in event management.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure high-quality customer service.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Food Safety Certificate is mandatory.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Valid driver’s license and clear criminal record check are required.
- References must be provided.

- Work involves a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks such as handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is required.

Work Hours and Schedule
