Role Summary

Join our Receiving and Handling team as a Receiver where you play an essential role in managing incoming deliveries to ensure a seamless and accurate flow of inventory to our store shelves. Attention to detail is critical in maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle receipt of all product deliveries, including sorting, unpacking, and using forklifts to move products to designated areas
  • Coordinate scheduling of deliveries and shipments, authorize unscheduled deliveries, and manage space allocation for incoming goods
  • Verify accuracy and integrity of inventory received and complete associated paperwork meticulously
  • Enter order receptions into computer systems
  • Carry out price changes and product displays
  • Locate and relocate merchandise as necessary within the store
  • Conduct inventory counts as required
  • Perform other related duties to ensure smooth store operations

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience in operating forklifts and other power equipment like lifts and order pickers
  • Experience working in warehouse environments involving inventory handling and stocking tasks
  • Retail experience related to managing inventory and stocking
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds daily unassisted
  • Basic arithmetic skills including addition and subtraction
  • Capability to work under challenging conditions such as extreme temperatures, heights, inclement weather, or exposure to intermittent or continuous noises
