Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with onsite quantitative researchers to iterate on research workflows aimed at enhancing the profitability of the desk's quantitative trading strategies.
• Design and develop Python-based tools to support trading strategy research efforts.
• Enhance the simulation and backtesting frameworks for improved performance and accuracy.
• Oversee the monitoring and upkeep of quantitative research tasks and jobs.
• Assist the global research team with Asia-Pacific-related research initiatives through various communication channels.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required; a master's degree is preferred.
• Demonstrable expertise in Python programming, including familiarity with statistical libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, and Polars.
• At least two years of practical experience developing in Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, capable of thriving in a fast-moving, collaborative, and geographically diverse environment.
• Excellent communication skills paired with the ability to work effectively within a team context.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience programming in C++.
• Familiarity with scripting tools like Bash.
• Knowledge of workflow management and scheduling systems.
• Understanding of Equities and Equity Derivatives trading techniques.
