Role Overview
We are seeking a Quantitative Developer to join the EMEA development team based in London. This role involves enhancing the current research infrastructure by developing and refining tools and providing close daily support to on-site quantitative researchers. There is also an opportunity to join our Singapore team for those considering relocation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers to iteratively improve the research processes and enhance trading strategy profitability
- Develop and maintain Python-based tools essential for researching trading strategies
- Enhance the existing simulation and backtesting frameworks for increased accuracy and efficiency
- Monitor and maintain quantitative research operations to ensure seamless execution
- Support the global research team in EMEA-related research through various communication channels
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong proficiency in Python programming and statistical libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Polars
- Proven experience utilizing Python in production environments
- Capable of solving complex problems and effective in a dynamic, collaborative, and distributed setting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams
- Experience with workflow management and task scheduling systems
- Knowledge of C++, scripting languages like Bash, and experience or interest in financial markets is desirable but not mandatory
