Position Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Procurement Specialist to be part of the P-8A Sustainment Program at RAAF Base Edinburgh. The role involves comprehensive procurement management, supplier relationship oversight, tactical sourcing, and supporting process enhancements to meet program objectives by ensuring timely and cost-effective supply of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complete procurement processes for designated programs.
- Conduct supplier evaluation and selection, maintaining performance metrics.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical sourcing, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor purchase orders, expedite shipments, resolve order discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate contractual and procurement documentation and reports using procurement systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or sourcing.
- Proven expertise in RFQs/RFPs, purchase order issuance, contract administration, and monitoring supplier performance.
- Strong proficiency in procurement and ERP software (for example SAP or Oracle) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication capabilities and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
- Effective multitasking and organizational skills under tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit and skilled at building supplier and internal partnerships.
- Innovative problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
