Position Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Procurement Specialist to be part of the P-8A Sustainment Program at RAAF Base Edinburgh. The role involves comprehensive procurement management, supplier relationship oversight, tactical sourcing, and supporting process enhancements to meet program objectives by ensuring timely and cost-effective supply of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee complete procurement processes for designated programs.
  • Conduct supplier evaluation and selection, maintaining performance metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical sourcing, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor purchase orders, expedite shipments, resolve order discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate contractual and procurement documentation and reports using procurement systems.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, supplier management, or sourcing.
  • Proven expertise in RFQs/RFPs, purchase order issuance, contract administration, and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Strong proficiency in procurement and ERP software (for example SAP or Oracle) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication capabilities and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Effective multitasking and organizational skills under tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit and skilled at building supplier and internal partnerships.
  • Innovative problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
